Vin had just got off work, deciding to walk home instead of taking the bus like he normally does. He wanted to save a bit of money and have some time to clear his head rather than be around chattering people, the low hum of the bus, or the bright lights of the bus. And it felt nice.

Vin continued to walk along the sidewalk, he guessed the time to be around 8:30PM at least, just another ten or so minutes until he got home. His breath faintly being visible in the cold air. His shadow silently following as he walked under street lights.

It was quiet, especially at this time. It seemed like more people just wanted to go to bed earlier this time of the year. Maybe it was because of the time change, or perhaps because it got darker earlier and threw people off; Vin didn't know though so he didn't dwell on it.

It wasn't until he saw a shadow next to his as he passed by another streetlight that he realized someone had started to follow him. Damn... He had never been in such a situation before and just silently continued on. He knew he'd probably have to find someone for help, or just walk until the other got bored of following... Both weren't going to be easy to do. Afterall, there was barely anyone out at this time, let alone near him, and not everyone would tire out from stalking someone.
