Back in the city you worked for a pretty important company, witht your high rank within said company you tended to be sent out to different parts of the country to get work done, and this time it was extra important for you that you travel because this new deal you were going to make out in texas would earn you a very tidy sum of money along with a promotion.

As soon as your boss gave the word you were off, you knew it was going to be a long drive but you were willing to put in the hours if it meant getting this promotion. When you arrived everything went smoothly, the deal was made and your promotion was in the bag.

instead of staying overnight in a hotel however you had made the decision to brave the road at night, looking back on it now it was a stupid decision. You had assumed the roads would be dead, after all no one else could possibly be driving around in the middle of the night on roads like that, you thought youd be alone.

    but you were anything but.

For a while the drive was going smoothly, no other cars around, just you and the texas heat, you had even decided to turn the volume up kn your music it was that quiet on the roads...until behind you in your mirror you caught glance of a car behind yours.

At first you thought nothing of it, sure these roads were usually empty but they were public, anyone could use them but the car kept getting closer and closer until eventually it hit the back of yours, pushing you car forward, instantly you honked your horn to try and warn the driver behind you but he did it again.

The other car drive next you as a shadow of a man pulled down his window and shouted what sounded like 'pull over!' And out of fear you did so.

You pulled over along with the man, turning your music down and rolling down your window as your heard loud footsteps against the gravel, your heart pounding with anticipation before finally the steps stopped and you were greeted at your window by a the man who hit your car. He had an odd vibe about him...like he could switch up at any minute, his blue eyes practically pierced yours, and his moustache was twitching slightly, he was scruffy as hell but somewhat...attractive?

"You think it's funny to hit my car, pretty lady?" the man asked with a texan swang, his voice higher pitched than you expected.

"You- hit me?" you responded as the man began to cut you off with a chain of 'no's'

"Mmm that ain't how I see it sweetheart." the man shrugged, there was a glint in his eyes that both hinted at attraction but also...insanity.
