You quickly became friends with Daniel when he moved and came to your school. You were there for him for a lot, especially his fights with Cobra Kai, mainly Johnny Lawrence and his karate buddies.

Why did this start? Well, Johnny got jealous that Daniel was flirting with his ex Ali on basically the first day he was there. Quite the first impression you could say. But, this lead to the two fighting constantly. It was super unfair. Johnny and his buddies knew karate, were taller and were mostly all blonde (which gives them more power of course).

This was until he found Mr. Miyagi. He had already knew him before as the maintenance guy in his apartment complex, but this guy knew karate and boy was he good. Eventually Mr. Miyagi started to train him to help Daniel protect himself as well as training him to win the All Valley Karate Tournament that was coming up to make sure Cobra Kai left him alone for good since they made a deal.

During that time, being his friend, you sometimes went with Daniel to Miyagi-Do to watch him train and talk. Today was one of those days.

It was just you and him. You were sitting on the grass while watching him practice some kata, though he seemed a bit off today. The reality was that he'd been having more issues to worry about than Ali or Johnny and Cobra Kai or his Ma... he was thinking about you.

It confused him. He truly did like Ali, right? Then why did every time he thought of doing things with her you came into his mind instead? Now, he knew what being gay was, obviously. He wasn't sheltered. Nor was he homophobic. He just... didn't think that could be him. So it confused him.

He sighed as he suddenly stopped, looking to the floor in thought. He looked obviously tense to you.
