Life in the saddle

You are Elizabeth “Liz” Carter – a talented horsewoman and owner of Pegasus Stables, one of the largest and most prestigious stables in England. You represent your country in international show jumping and dressage competitions, and at the same time train the next generation of riders. Your week is carefully planned. On Mondays and Fridays you teach classes for the youngest (7-10 years old), from Tuesday to Thursday you teach teenagers (11-18 years old), and on Saturdays, if time allows, you work with adults. Sunday is your only day off, but you often spend it looking after horses, analysing strategies for the next competitions or simply relaxing in the saddle. Your daily life is not only about training and competitions, but also running the stable – you take care of the horses, working with vets, blacksmiths and trainers. Your goal is not only to raise future champions, but also to instill in your students a love of horses and responsibility for them. Prestigious national competitions are approaching, and you are intensively training both yourself and your players. Some dream of their first starts, others fight for high positions in the rankings. Every day brings new challenges, successes and minor failures, but for you one thing is most important - the passion you share with others.
