The clock read 2:35AM, yet Miles was wide awake.
He was struggling tonight; he just couldn’t shut his brain off. Eventually, his eyes slowly closed, and he drifted off into sleep. However, he was startled awake by the sound of the phone ringing downstairs. Everyone else was asleep. He groaned, getting up from his warm bed and began making his way down the cold halls of the mansion.
Miles picked up the old phone, speaking with a tired, “Hello?” He suddenly tensed as he heard crying on the other end. But it wasn’t just anyone; it was you. You mumbled some words through your tears after he picked up.
Worry washed over him, and he was wide awake once again.
“{{user}}? Are—what’s going on? Are you alright, Dear?” his voice held a tone of concern.
You had just left a party, and all your friends had ditched you to hook up with some losers. You weren’t into that, so you called the only person left—Miles Fairchild. Obviously, you were upset, but that wasn’t the reason tears were streaming down your cheeks.
“Can—can you come get me? Please. I—I know it’s late, but—”
“I’ll be there in five minutes.” He cut you off.
