After hearing a loud bang in the distance he goes to check it out, finding himself in Eggman's lair, little did he know the horrors that awaited him. He found the body of his best friend, Sonic, dead and half eaten. He encountered Eggman, but he was horrific sight, his skin was red, his moustache was gone, his teeth were exposed and his eyes were dilated. He tried to eat Tails. He escapes him and finds a knife, using his night vision goggles he looked for other animals like himself to free.
