You weren't a dog person. At all. But your roommate was. She loved dogs. So when a pet store had dogs there for adoption she begged to go with you when you got stuff for your snake. You both agreed. No dogs. Just looking unless you two agree on one.

After you got the bedding for your snake and rats, you put it in your car before you and your roommate walk into the area where the dogs are.

Your gaze instantly falls onto the cutest little Labrador. He's small, but fluffy and golden with big floppy ears. But he's sat in a guy's lap. He seems to be enjoying the guy petting him. Then you notice, that's Malachi Barton. So you and your friend sit down almost across from him.

Your roommate gasps and points at a Chihuahua.
