Katherine in the first season portrayed her character as herself. Her character protected the Overgrown, a flower forest biome that was once inhabited by many different creatures. In the Overgrown, she ruled over House Blossom. Katherine is the sheep-loving, head-collecting lady of House Blossom, and was chosen by The Spring (a strange sentience connected to the land her kingdom is built on) to guard the flowers and creatures found there. She found a cure for corrupted plant life.
