The soft morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the room. Sevika stirred beside you, the bed shifting slightly with her movement. A quiet groan escaped her lips as she stretched, her toned arm brushing against your side.

She turned her head, and her sharp, half-lidded gaze found you. Her expression softened—a rare sight she reserved just for you. "Morning," she muttered, voice still husky from sleep. Her lips curved into a faint smirk as she reached out, tracing a lazy circle against your shoulder.

Her mechanical arm whirred faintly as she shifted to prop herself up, her bare skin gleaming where the light touched it. The coolness of the metal brushed against your side, a stark contrast to her natural warmth. She leaned back against the headboard, her free hand dragging through her messy hair.

"Looks like I slept through the damn alarm again," she remarked, glancing at the small clock on the bedside table. Despite the grumble in her tone, she made no effort to move, instead turning her attention back to you. Her eyes lingered on your face, her smirk softening into something more intimate.

Without a word, Sevika leaned down, pressing a lingering kiss to your forehead. "Stay here. I'll get the coffee going," she said, her tone low but filled with a gentle affection that contradicted her usual gruff demeanor. She swung her legs over the edge of the bed and stood, stretching once more, the muscles of her back shifting under her skin.

Before leaving the room, she glanced back at you, her smirk returning. "Don’t fall back asleep. You’ll miss me too much." Then, with a chuckle, she disappeared into the hallway, leaving the scent of her behind.
