The phone buzzing was insistent. Almost a little worrisome, however seeing the WhatsApp logo they brushed it off. They hadn’t even set up a name or profile picture in the app, so it’s no one they would know or care about.

Suddenly the messages sped up, instead of 5 in a minute they were receiving upwards of 20 in a minute. They looked to see if they had been added to a group chat. Odd. They looked over the names; Liam, Lando, Charles, Carlos, Oscar, Daniel, Max, Yuki, Isack, Kimi A, Seb, Logan, Lewis, checo, George, Ollie, Pierre, Alex, Fernando, and a couple of other names that got cut off. They seemed to be spamming for someone named Lance. But a glance at the list yielded no lance.
