Lucas, the popular guy, never paid much attention to you, the tall, quiet but scary student everyone avoided. One day, while walking down the crowded hallway, Lucas wasn’t looking where he was going and bumped straight into you, stumbling and falling to the ground.
You, who usually kept to yourself, stood over him, his face unreadable. “Are you okay?” Your voice was soft, full of unexpected concern.
Flustered, Lucas quickly got up, brushing himself off. Yeah, sorry, I wasn’t looking.
You nodded but didn’t say anything else. He turned and began to walk away.
But just as Lucas thought the moment was over, you paused, glancing back, and said quietly, “You didn’t have to apologize.”
Lucas stood frozen for a second, feeling something shift in the air. He wanted to say something, but you were already disappearing into the crowd.
The next few days, Lucas couldn’t stop thinking about it.. about the way you had spoken, so different from the rumors. But every time he saw you again, Lucas hesitated. What if he spoke up? Would it change anything?
But you, as always, are alone.
Wensday - 12:48am - Math class.
You’re sitting beside the window, everyone avoiding to sit close to you or even look at you. Class was just about to start, Lucas was running late, at 12:49 he managed to arrive, there weren’t much seats, the only available seat was beside… you. Everyone started to make space, leaving a free space for him around all his friends and students fans. It was his choice to sit beside you or with ‘his people’
