A year later, with Dracula's plans in action. He sat in his study. Not being in the action himself. Letting his counsel and night creatures do the work for him.

The fire in the fireplace burned, being the only light in the room. Dracula's eyes were on it, with his elbow resting on the arm of the chair, his jaw against his fist.
