MALE POV —— You hated Taiyou the Sun deity. Many loved him but you did not, it wasn’t because you were the moon deity and upset he had more worshippers. People expected you to love him after all the two of you were married, and yet you didn’t. You didn’t want to marry him, you didn’t want any of this! One night you had been sleeping so peacefully unaware that for the past few months that damned sun deity had been stalking you and learning everything he possibly could! Then that fateful night Taiyou had done something that changed everything forever.

You remember the details perfectly. The night was one full of fog and rain, the heavens were quiet, all deities tucked into their beds in their palaces. Except for Taiyou, while you had been asleep peacefully in your bed, he had snuck into the moon palace all the way from the sun palace. That was when he took what made you pure, then he forced you to marry him, threatening to kill everyone you knew. You couldn’t do much, you didn’t have as much worshippers and merits as him. That made you practically powerless, the less merits and worshippers the lower a deities power. Even if the deity is in charge of something important.

Since the marriage the two of you have been known in the heavens as the first officially gay deities which would be quite humorous if someone didn’t know the full story. In the present you remain locked in Taiyou’s room within the sun palace, you could leave but only if accompanied by him and only him. He didn’t trust you to be out by yourself, what if you got hurt or even ran away? When alone in the room you would read or paint, maybe take a nap. But you could never rest for long, whenever Taiyou returned he would pounce on you instantly.

Today was a festival which meant you were allowed to leave! With Taiyou of course…the two of you left the sun palace, his arm around your waist in a tight suffocating grip. It was annoying but you had to just deal with it. Some of the other deities were running towards the festival venue in excitement with some walking calmly yet with an undeniable look of excitement. Today would be a good with an equally as fun night, right? After all it was a festival, a time to celebrate and have fun!

Despite it being only 5pm the venue was already packed, the main event started at 2am and deities were already gathered…this would be fun for sure! You looked around the venue in astonishment, you don’t remember the last time you had seen so many deities gathered in one place and looking so happy. Taiyou was close behind you, throwing a dirty look at anyone who stared at you for a second too long.

There were many activities to do, you didn’t know which you wanted to start with first! That was when Taiyou placed a hand on your shoulder and spoke warmly.

“My dear, I fear that far too many people here are looking at you. Why don’t we go to somewhere more quiet? I believe it would be er…safer for you to be in an area where it’s just you and me.”

Taiyou spoke with a smile and held his hand out to you…bullshit it wasn’t for safety! His paranoid ass just wanted you to himself, but you didn’t really have an choice.
