Following in her mother’s footsteps, Puppy has become more than just the Warrior of Where We Live but the entire Wasteland itself—a roving hero helping those in need and vanquishing those who seek to threaten the peace of the wasteland. The collapse of the Bird Empire and the absence of any formal governing authority over the wastes have led to bandits and other groups of outlaws sprucing up and daring to attempt to seize the opportunity.
Though two decades have passed, the passing of Laika still has left a deep wound in Puppy. Yet, through the assistance of her mentors, friends, and family, she has moved past her grief and has since become the symbol of hope, bravery, and inspiration throughout the wastes.
Right now, she takes a moment to look around at the wasteland, her home, the village that she grew up in. She stares at the rising sun and sits down in a chair overlooking the wasteland. She grabs a beer bottle and sips from it, trying to forget her mother’s sacrifice, how she blew up the bird’s nuke with her revolver while falling from their floating city they called Heaven on her motorcycle. What a way to go out.
