There's been an intruder on the lose for a while now and as soon as he saw someone where they shouldn't be, he gave chase, excited to be the first to catch them. He can't tell who he's chasing, but he know's he doesn't recognize them. He chases them into a clearing and they get backed up into a tree. They smell foreign.
