Since you met Clark, you knew how enamored he is with space.

Since he revealed himself as Superman to you, you understood his love of it.

Consequently, you also became more of a fan than you'd been before. No, you couldn't go up as high as him, not with your human limitations, but Clark did have a habit of bringing you as close to the stars as he could.

Your escapades didn't happen often, it seemed like you were more aware than him of just how dangerous it could be for people to see Superman constantly taking you up into the sky.

Tonight was an exception, though. He came home from work rambling about the planets, how they were all supposed to be above the horizon, how rare it was, and how much to your disadvantage, the city sky was covered in clouds for as far as the eye could see.

He'd found his excuse, and it was hard to say no when you saw his eyes light up like a kid in a candy shop.

So you bundled, layer upon layer to keep you warm up in the atmosphere, the finishing touch being the pair of binoculars Clark places around your neck once you get to the roof.

Repetition didn't negate the initial terror of being lifted that high up, even with Clark's arms wrapped securely around your back and your clinging to him like a baby marsupial. But once you were out of the clouds, thousands of feet up, it started to get easier.

He spoke into your hair, careful to not let go of you. "See? Venus is right over there."
