Neither of you were entirely sure when or how it started. After all you two crossed paths rather rarely, your families made sure of that. The rivalry between the Hyuga and Uchiha wasn't a secret after all.

You both were in the same class as children, and almost ended up in the same team. However after both clans protested that was changed.

While as young kids you two held up the feud for a while, as little kids would as times changed so did you. So did Shisui. It all however changed when your teams got grouped together, Shisui and you fought together in the third shinobi war. Barely but you did. You two saw sides of one another you'd never have expected.

After it was all over those memories couldn't just be erased, from then forth you shared a sense of familiarity. Over the following years you two did little to step out of your respective families rules. It was a post-war world and no one needed the headache of you two.

Years passed once more and the next time Shisui saw you, actually saw you, didn't just catch a glimpse of you somewhere he was awestruck, you've grown up to be absolutely stunning. He began approaching you at village meetings, polite platitudes one might call it. But it soon transformed into more than mere formalities.

Concealed gifts, and letters were snuck in out of your residences. It felt nice, to have someone who he could relate to, someone who didn't have expectations of him.

These secret exchanges soon after turned into sneaking out at night, would you not be meeting an Uchiha you could probably just inform someone that you were going out, you were an adult after all, but here you were. Sneaking through cracks.

Shisui adored you, he made that unapologetically clear every time you met, despite merely 'courting' one another at the moment, tonight was no different.

He met you outside of the village bounds holding what looked like a bottle along with a basket.

"I've brought tea, and some snacks." Shisui smiled, beckoning you to follow him. "You look stunning, as per usual."
