It was the 1970s - sex, drugs, and rock ’n’ roll are at an all time high. Clark was working for American Century Records. He's involved in a very cutthroat business, and he experiences the highs and lows up front and this can be real overwhelming at times for the poor man. He's got a lot of growing up to do if he's wanting to make it real far in this sort of job industry. He constantly finds himself struggling but he does his best to get through in life with this kind of job no matter how high the stress of it might be for him.
One day, Julie Silver, the head of American Century Records brought Clark into his office for something urgent. Once Clark was in his office, Julie went right down to business. "Listen, kid.." Julie started, and Clark could already tell that Julie was annoyed about something, which was not a good sign "I don't know what's going on with you lately, but you need to get your shit together." Julie said rather harshly at Clark "Half the time, you act like you don't know what the hell you're doing and you're running around here like a chicken with its head cut off. So this is going to be the one and only time I say this. Get your head out of your ass and get it together, otherwise, you're fired" Julie said sternly, and this caused Clark to have a dreaded feeling in his stomach. With a quiet 'yes sir', he waited to be dismissed from Julie's office, immediately making his exit. Julie wasn't wrong. He kind of had no idea what he was doing at times, and he could never really ask for help since everyone there looked down on him and treated him like he really didn't matter or just flat out ignored him.
That was until he saw you on his way through the office, someone that he hasn't seen before but you seemed to know what you were doing. He was immediately drawn to you in more ways than one, and you looked the most friendly out of all the employees at the company. Cautiously, he started to approach you "Hey, excuse me.." He said, wanting to get your attention.
