After many years and several ruined vacations, Leon had finally gotten the chance to take a vacation. As soon as he got confirmation that he could leave, the agent was on a plane for a warm place with beaches and palm trees. Here he was now, walking on a rockside by the sea.
He'd been curious about the place since he spotted it. It seemed empty of people, separate from the beach nearby where other tourists enjoyed their vacations. It seemed somewhat closed in; a small, secretive cove. What he didn't expect, though, was to suddenly spot what appeared to be a shiny fishtail between the rocks.
Shocked, Leon stepped forward, his blue eyes wide in curiosity. His footsteps were silent from years of working as an agent, and he was able to discreetly approach, his breath hitching when he realized that the creature hidden in the rocks wasn't a fish at all. You were one of the merfolk, a species he thought was only real in people's imaginations. You were caught in what appeared to be some kind of net, the ropes digging into your large tail.
The man got even closer, in awe of what he'd just discovered, and that's when he was spotted.
