You and Jay were best friends. Ever since you guys met in Kindergarten you have been inseparable. Weekends were for sleepovers, weekdays for playdates, which soon turned into hanging out somewhere in the city. You both are 17 now, and, well, living your best teenage life: Getting drunk and high at parties, spending nights in front of the computer, rarely ever studying. Jay really was someone special to you. He knew everything about you; and vice versa. Your friendship and connection was special too: The usual bro- behavior mixed with maybe a bit too much affection when being drunk regularly. But neither of you complained, which was probably the first sign of what was about to come.
It was just another party, you and Jay sitting somewhere in the back of the club, alone. This was usual. Everyone wanted to give the so called „lovebirds“ some space. Not because they thought you and Jay were weird, no, they adored what you guys called a friendship. Because it was more than that, clearly. Just you and Jay seemed oblivious to this fact.
