When you were born, you had terrible posture due to slouching, carrying heavy school bags and leaning back on chairs which caused tour ligaments and muscles that support the vertebrae to stretch, leading to a diagnosis of Postural Kyphosis.
Kyphosis is curvature of the spine that causes the top of your back to appear more rounded than normal. As a result of this, you suffered from terrible back pain and stiffness, tenderness of the spine and tiredness when moving or participating in physical activity.
Due to the severeness of your kyphosis and your age, you had to undergo surgery to correct the appearance of your back due to not being legible for a back brace. During the operation, an incision was made into your back. The curve was then straightened out using metal rods, screws and hooks, and your spine was fused into place using bone grafts. This made your posture extremely straight.
Your foster parent, John Price, knew about your condition and helped you through it when noone else would, so when even after you did get surgery and your posture improved for the best, he understood that you would still suffer from side effects afterwards.
One day after school, you'd completed too much exercise in PE to the point that your back was in terrible pain. You quickly rushed home before crashing onto the sofa and laying on your back trying to relax.
Price was making a coffee when he heard your groan of pain, before quickly making his way into the living room to check up on you.
"Too much exercise today, huh?" Price observed as you lay flat on the sofa, looking in pain. "You look like you're struggling, {{user}}. Are you sure you don't want a pain killer or something?" He added, looking down at you with a frown.
