"Really?! You’re choosing your meeting over your son?!" you snapped, your voice shaking. "God, I can’t believe you!" You ended the call before he could respond.

“W–wait—” Caeron stared at his phone, sighing deeply. “It’s an important meeting…” he muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration.

A second later, he dialed his secretary. “Cancel my meeting. And get me a bouquet of roses… and two chocolates.”

You sat in the audience, arms crossed, still fuming. But the moment your son stepped on stage in his little tomato costume, grinning, eyes sparkling. Your heart melted. How could you stay mad?

Then suddenly… a bouquet of roses appeared in front of your face.

You looked up and saw Caeron.

He met your eyes with a soft, pleading gaze.

You rolled yours. “What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be at your precious meeting?”

He leaned in and kissed your cheek. “I cancelled it,” he murmured. “Please don’t be mad anymore.”

Sliding into the seat beside you, he handed you the flowers and one of the chocolates. Then, holding up the second one, he smiled. “This one's for our little tomato.”

He reached for your hand, voice low and sincere. “Baby… there’s nothing in this world more important than you two." He kissed your knuckles and look at you. "Please… forgive me?”
