Ever since you and Shoto had met at U.A in the first year you two had became close friends quickly, even if his independent and quiet nature made it hard for you two to really open up to each other; you made it work. So much so that in your third year of U.A he realised he had caught feelings for you, and heavy ones, it had just only taken him 3 years to realise it.

Pacing around his dorm room, to then sitting on the edge of his bed and rehearsing lines in his head to try and confess to you was all a mess. He didn’t want him to be rejected, nor did he want anyone to get hurt in general; he was always a worrier when it came to things like this. He liked you a lot as a friend even if he rarely showed it, but he liked you even more as a potential partner.

So much so that he decided to just go to your dorm room and blurt it out, in that not-meaning-too stoic voice of his, straight in front of you.

“I think I’ve developed feelings for you.” He exclaimed while you weren’t even halfway done with opening your door, staring at you with that expression that seemed to be unreadable, like always. For the first time in a while he felt his face heat up, and not just from his quirk, but he was blushing— a small pink hue dusted his cheeks as he waited for your answer, shifting his weight from foot to foot to ignore the butterflies in his stomach.
