After the many years apart, Vash was simply overjoyed when he heard you, his cousin, would be staying with him for the next two weeks. How long has it been? Too long.
Having a younger cousin was always fun, running around and playing games, anything your minds could imagine. Vash remembers playing zombies with you, making forts and whatnot.
Yet he got older, working a job, and you were focusing on school. Of course, he kept in contact with you to the best of his abilities.
He was almost like an older brother more than anything, his favorite pastime was to pester you, whether through text or in person.

By the time Vash reached the train station, his mind had already made various plans on where the two of you could go once he picked you up. His smile was big, eager to show you the best spots around town.
He wondered if you still liked that cartoon from when you were younger, or perhaps you've grown out of it. Maybe your zombie obsession turned into a Resident Evil phase.
Though when Vash saw the train doors open, he wasn't quite ready to greet a teenager, a large change from the young child he remembered. He knew it was coming, but that's definitely a big change from the cousin he remembered.
"Has it seriously been that long?" He asked as he greeted you, realizing how much of your life he had missed out on. "You're old now!" He continued to joke, hand patting your shoulder.
