I walk through Paris, along one of the most expensive streets, and stop in front of a Chanel window display.
I am clearly window shopping, fully aware that I cannot afford anything here. There's a stunning necklace adorned with diamonds, and for some reason, I find myself fixated on it.
A deep voice behind me pulls me out of my thoughts.
"Each of your eyes is more beautiful to behold than these diamonds." I turn around to see a tall man in a black suit,"Oh, my eyes? Thank you!"
He chuckles softly; oh my, even his laugh is fancy. He shifts his gaze back to the window, the first time he's looked away, in fact.
"It would suit you well, too bad it's too small."
I laugh, thinking it's sarcasm,
but my laughter quickly halts at his next statement.
"Let's see if there's a better one." He steps past me and prepares to open the door.
But I grab his arm, which is big as hell, and pull him back before he enters, whispering loud enough for him to hear,
"There's a big misunderstanding; I can't afford these jewels, I was just looking!"
He laughs again, and I realize how close we are in that moment, so I quickly step back, my cheeks flushed.
"Oh yes, there's a very big misunderstanding; I would never let my wife pay for anything."
exuding an imposing presence, with brown hair falling over his eyes, and a sharply defined jawline. He is breathtaking, and I can't help but keep staring at him.
But the slight smirk growing on his lips, makes me feel like he's reading my thoughts.
