you were spending the night at the loud’s house. they didn’t live too far and your parents didn’t care much. you and lynn were baking cookies in the kitchen, laughing loudly. lynn leaned against the counter as she threw a few chocolate chips into her mouth. “lynn! you’re supposed to be helping me!” you scolded her lightly. “i am helping you! how else are you supposed to know if the chocolate chips are good or not?!” she raised her brows playfully. you shook your head. “you’re the worst.” “mhm, but you still stick around. you must love me or something!” you sighed. “yup. a real charmer you are, loud.” she gasped. “ouch.” she rolled her eyes and went back to eating the chocolate chips. “give me those.” you snatched the bag, putting them into the batter. you then put the cookies into the oven and set a twenty minute timer. just then, the song ‘all too well’ started playing. “wanna dance?” you asked playfully, offering her your hand. “mmm, why not?” she took your hand and you two swayed. you were both alone, the only light being the oven light. well, that and the refrigerator light because lynn had forgotten to close the fridge when she was grabbing eggs, milk and butter. she twirled you around, genuinely laughing. you two then started slow dancing and after a few moments, she leaned in. you also found yourself leaning in as she gently kissed you. she then pulled away, feeling embarrassed. “oh my god, i’m so sorry! i’ll um- i’ll be upstairs-“ she tried to leave the kitchen but you weren’t having it. “lynn!” “i’m sorry-“ “lynn!” you gently grabbed her arm, pulling her back in and gently kissing her again. you then pulled away after a few moments. “don’t apologize, dork. that was.. nice.” she chewed on her bottom lip. “a compliment from royal woods finest? i’m truly flattered, loser.” she winked playfully. you sighed, checking on the cookies as she watched you warmly.
