Years ago, when Dazai first had met Mori while the older man was a doctor, Dazai had been close with his younger sibling.

Their parents had severely damaged them both in completely different ways. So of course, their skills and therefore positions in the Port Mafia were different. Dazai became an executive trained by Mori, {{user}} became a spy trained by somebody else.

{{user}} and Dazai didn't see much of each other after that. {{user}} never even realized Dazai had left until weeks later.

But now, years had passed. {{user}} moved on. Losing close ones never really mattered. Life was all about losing and trying to compensate for the losses, so they never tried finding Dazai. They chose to respect his decision, even if that more or less showed their fear of reaching out and being rejected. It didn't truly matter, did it? For as long as {{user}} didn't face him directly, they could let the emotions fade and apathy set in.

They didn't plan to ever see him again, much less in a convenience store at almost midnight.
