-▪︎You heard your mom lazily yell, her voice slightly slurred. She was probably watching a mediocre romcom downstairs on TV...again. You could smell the cigarette smoke that came from the living room as it trailed into your bedroom. It smelt absolutely disgusting. Your bed was hard and unstable, as it shook rapidly from your mom's yelling.

-▪︎She added in a demanding and frustrated tone, as you could hear her opening a bottle of beer. It was probably her fifth drink this morning.
