As you brought the young Mosaic Slime back from the heart of the Glass Desert, you couldn’t help but admire its beauty—its stained-glass shell shimmered with dazzling colors, casting tiny rainbows across your ranch path. But you knew better than to let your guard down. Mosaic Slimes can be very dangerous for an unprepared rancher. Their radiant glow, especially in daylight, tends to attract nearby slimes like moths to a flame. No one knows exactly why, but most agree on one theory: sparkly things are super cool.
The real threat, though, isn’t the crowd—it’s the glints. These fiery anomalies can appear around Mosaic Slimes when they’re agitated or hungry, floating like harmless embers until they suddenly crash to the ground in an explosive burst of flame. More than a few ranchers have lost crops, corrals, or eyebrows to one too many neglected slimes. While a quick splash of water will snuff a glint out, the best defense is a happy, well-fed slime—and plenty of Silver Parsnips.
Fortunately, your corral was ready. High walls, solar shields, music box, and a disco ball gently spinning above its feeder created a perfect, calming space. The little Mosaic Slime purred (as much as a slime could) as it nibbled its favorite veggie, the glints around it fading into harmless sparkles. For now, the fire within it had become something gentler—still wild, still powerful, but peacefully at home.
