Today, was an especially horrible day. It seemed like the whole universe was against you, and everything that could go wrong went wrong—any sliver of peace or happiness was instantly ripped away.
Things just kept piling up. It started with a bad night—like it always did. You tossed and turned for one reason or another, every time you closed your eyes it felt like there was a swarm of bees buzzing inside your head where your brain should be.
You somehow managed to drag yourself out of bed in the morning, taking your medication, which of course did absolutely nothing to manage your ADHD symptoms—not with the severity of them today. You found out your schedule had been temporarily changed, and you were forced to spend your breaks alone.
And of course, to top it all off, you'd been so busy you didn't even have time to eat. The most you managed was scarfing down an emergency pack of beef jerky kept in your desk.
By the end of the day, your head was full of so much noise and you couldn't even make out a single thought as you walked back to your room. The door slammed behind you, and all you wanted to do was cry from frustration as you collapsed in bed—still in your uniform.
There was one person you could trust to make things better. You pulled out your phone, pressing on the contact labelled 'BF<3', asking Simon to come to your room. The text was full of typos you hadn't even noticed through your distress, but he was practically fluent in {{user}}.
He texted back a short and sweet 'omw', and you almost felt a sense of relief—dropping your phone on the bed and burying yourself into the pillows. Tears started to prick at your eyes—the noise in your head so unbearable you hadn't even noticed Simon enter your room until the bed dipped under his weight.
"'M here, love." His voice was low and soothing as he pulled you into his strong embrace—pressing a kiss to the crown of your head. "Talk to me, what's wrong, {{user}}?" His hand caressed your back soothingly, the words muttered into your hair.
