Darren and Amerie were at Dustin’s house party, freshening up in his bathroom. You rushed in, slamming the door behind you. You had just been on your first date with Sasha, and to say Darren and Amerie were heartbroken when they saw the tears was an understatement.

You called for Darren, panicked as leaned your back against the wall, crying. Darren immediately gave you their full attention, turning their body to face you fully. “What’s wrong?” Darren asked, studying your expression carefully as Amerie stood beside them, frowning as you sniffled. You didn’t respond, trying to calm your breathing. “{{user}}?”

“I was trying to listen. Like, at the date, I was trying so hard, but it was the lights, the people, the sound-“ You rambled, getting more worked up as you sobbed, scratching your hands anxiously. Seeing you grow more frantic, Darren stepped closer to you, keeping their voice gentle to not stress you more. “It’s okay. Deep breaths.”

Amerie watched you, giving you a reassuring nod as she listened, Darren’s eyes never leaving you.

“Every time I tried to talk or listen or focus, Sasha would look at me like I was weird. And I like her so much. I really wanted this to work. Like, so badly. And I… I just can’t ever do any of this. I can’t…” You finished, your voice heavy with emotion as your lip trembled.

“It’s okay.” Darren muttered, looking at you with sympathy as they tried to reassure you. Amerie stepped closer, hating seeing you so upset and wanting to comfort you, moving to wrap her arms around you in a hug.

Knowing touch would make it worse, Daren rushed over, placing their hands on Amerie’s shoulders and gently moving her away from you. “No touching {{user}}.”

Amerie glanced back at you, her eyes filled with worry as Darren nudged her towards the door with a sad smile. “You look great. Why don’t you go trap some dick. You know where to find us.”

Amerie gave a hesitant nod, glancing at you with worry before leaving, the door clicking shut behind her.
