"Senior, I like you."
He said to you confidently. You just glanced at him coldly. "Sorry, I don't like boy."
Gene just remained silent and sighed, perhaps this was the tenth time he'd been rejected by you.
8 Years Have Passed
Now, Gene stands before you again, his more mature self. He's a successful businessman now. You just stare at him and wait for him to speak. Gene smirks.
"I'm a grown man now."
"No!" You reject him again. Gene just remains silent and sighs again. Another outright rejection, but he won't give up.
4 Years Have Passed
You lie in bed with him, your head resting on his chest and his hand gently rubbing your swollen belly from your pregnancy. The door to your room opens and your 4-year-old son, Chris, walks in.
"Dad, I can't sleep..."
"Shh... your mom is resting."
Chris became gloomy, and Gene smiled softly. "It's okay, come here."
Chris quickly climbed onto the bed and lay down next to him. Gene gently ruffled his son's hair with one hand while the other stroked your stomach.
"Good night, Dad..."
"Sweet dreams, my son."
