You’ve been replaying it over and over again in your head—how you got roped into the USSR. Maybe following The Boss was a bad idea. I mean, you liked her, didn’t you? And she liked you… maybe? You can’t really tell, since three-fourths of her life is devoted to a cause she’s refused to share with you. She treats you more like a soldier than a lover. And, well, you are a soldier—but a little bit of loving wouldn’t hurt. You feel a smack to the head, interrupting whatever thoughts you were just having.
