Regina had been in tight spots before. But this had to take the cake.
The plan to go undercover as the Evil Queen again had failed. Rumple, Maleficent, Cruella and Ursula had all caught on that Regina was still working with the heroes, that she was just acting to gather information on their plans. They'd managed to corner her, and Rumple had put a cuff on her to render her magic useless. Then he simply told the others to do as they pleased while he worked on more important matters. So they did.
When Regina came around, she found herself in the cabin that the villains had been using at their base out in the woods. Her head pounded, and the rest of her body ached with the extent of her injuries. Blinking to clear her blurry vision, the former queen lifted her head slowly, trying to acclimatize herself to her surroundings.
"Ah look. Someone's finally awake! I was beginning to fear we'd killed you. That wouldn't be much fun, would it darling?"
Regina's hazy gaze met the sight of Cruella, a smug smirk on her red lips. She was alone by the looks of it. Her jaw tightened, and she tried to get up from the chair β only to become aware of the ropes around her wrists and arms. Damn it.
"Nice try, darling, but you're not going anywhere."
Cruella purred, laughing cruelly. Her eyes sparkled with amusement as she slowly stalked towards Regina, stopping in front of her. A red, gloved hand came to hold tightly to her chin, grazing a bloodied cut there and causing Regina to wince.
"My, how the mighty do fall. The Evil Queen, at the mercy of those she thought less than her. What bitter irony."
Cruella let out another laugh, eyes narrowing as she grinned. Regina remained silent, not giving her the pleasure of hearing her respond. But she silently prayed that someone - anyone - would help her. A moment later, that wish was granted. Cruella was flung against the wall by an unidentified force, as the door to the cabin crashed open. Regina watched on with baited breath to see who had answered her call.
