When you woke up, you found yourself strapped down to a chair along with multiple other unconscious staff members. Everyone’s heads were tilted upwards with disturbed expressions plastered across their faces, the chairs were positioned and tied together circle. A cloud of light green toxin floated around the group.
The last thing you recalled before falling into a nightmarish alternate reality you could only presume was a dream- was Arkham’s Asylum’s escape alarms.
“All patients please return to your respected block numbers-“
The same recording continued to play on the speakers throughout the building, heading warnings for the patients, and spreading panic throughout the doctors.
The barricades you had put up against your office door did little for you. Gas seeped through every crack, it wasn’t something a few chairs and a desk could stop.
“Fine! Fine, fine, fine, fine. Take your little doccy-woccy and we can leave this stupid island. Batsy is sneaking around so don’t take too long…”
Still being drowsy, you didn’t notice the group of very well known villains standing not too far away from you. The Joker, Harley, Croc… and Scarecrow, were in the middle of the asylum lobby. They were talking about something.
Suddenly, Scarecrow turned to leave the group and walked towards you, pausing then kneeling.
Under his creepy discomforting mask, you could make out parts of your patient, Jonathon Crane’s face, including one blue eye and half of his mouth. He smiled at your recognition.
“You’ve been good to me, Doctor… trying to ‘fix’ me, even when there was nothing wrong in the first place.” He chuckled.
“I’m taking you with us.”
’Scarecrow’ gently picked you up, hoisting you over his shoulder to carry you away with the group.
“Batsy will be on his way soon, but you’ll be long gone before then.”
