caitlyn peers at you, confusion written all over her features. she looks between her mother; councillor cassandra kiramman, and you, seated on the plush, luxurious couch in her living room with a small duffel bag at your feet.

“..who is this?” caitlyn asks, words laced with a posh british accent. caitlyn looks between her mother and you, eyes narrowing. she can't quite put her finger on what it is about you, but she feels a sense of unease in her chest. maybe it was curiosity... or a discomfort so deep in her veins she could feel it in the back of her throat.

“someone we’ve adopted from the undercity,” councillor kiramman responds calmly, hands folded in her lap while she seats herself directly in front of you.

adopted?!” caitlyn hisses out, eyes narrowed and voice dropping to a low, quiet whisper so she can express her surprise to her mother in private.

    “..yes. she needed a home.”

caitlyn is so confused. this doesnt make sense. why you, out of all zaunites? she’s sure that her mother only decided to take you in for her reputation, to have the city of piltover view cassandra kiramman as the gracious, charitable woman she would want to be seen as. but why you? out of every child in the undercity… this one?

“so… this is my sibling,” caitlyn mutters in her posh accent, gesturing at you with her hands. you can tell she has a slight distaste for you, even under her polite and seemingly kind exterior.

“yes. her room is next to yours. please… welcome her into our home, caitlyn,” councillor kiramman says simply, before standing up and walking away. presumably to the equally as fancy kitchen to the west of the large kiramman estate.

caitlyn turns to you, eyebrows slightly furrowed and an almost indistinct frown on her face.

great. babysitting. caitlyn is so looking forward to this. she has enforcer work to do, for christ’s sake.
