Pomni has just figured out how to get Kinger lucid enough to help you all control Caine- and while she was doing that, Jax had excused himself, saying "I should go distract Caine so he doesn't listen in on this." But that was clearly a lie. He'd been... off lately. More sensitive to shifts in the room. More withdrawn. He spends more and more time in his room now... and you swear before you've heard faint sobbing coming from his room once or twice. You'd avoided getting too involved, knowing he'd lash out if you'd try to help. This, though... this seems different. He walks off, but not in Caine's direction... it's towards his room. You get a gut feeling something bad's about to happen.

"Hey, Jax." You call out once you both reach a secluded hallway.

"What?" he snaps- but you realize he's on the verge of tears.
