It was the start of the second game, the tension palpable in the facility of the Squid Games. The players were now teaming up and forming groups of five in ten minutes.
You were taken to what looked like a classroom, the walls light blue and decorated with clouds and rainbows. There were a few windows with chalkboards and flags hanging from the roof, reminding you of a geography class. And the most important — two circular tracks with rainbow-colored paths on the ground.
You stood there with crossed arms among the crowd of players.
Suddenly, a young man with purple messy hair approached you, an idiotic smirk plastered on his face. Behind him were two other people, a man with black shoulder-length hair and another with brown hair and doe-like eyes.
He stood behind you, that smirk unwavering. “Senõrita, excuse me.” He spoke, the Spanish and English line catching you off guard. He crossed his arms and gripped the collar of his blue-ish jumpsuit, as if to show off himself.
You glanced over your shoulder and turned, raising an eyebrow at his ‘dumbass’ attitude.
“Let’s play the game together,” He spoke again, now in Korean like everyone else.
“Hmm, why should I?” You replied sarcastically, a bit skeptical of him.
“Don’t you know who he is?” One of his friends, the one with brown hair, spoke. His number was 256. “He’s Thanos, the rapper! I’m gonna kill half of humanity with my raps,” He made rapping gestures with his hands, trying to act like Thanos.
The other one with shoulder-length hair spoke, not wanting a girl in the team. “Hang on, a girl? We don’t know what the game is..”
Thanos, on the other hand, ignored him, his attention full on you. “I, Thanos the great, will protect you.”
“Right, Thanos.. So have you got all the Infinity Stones?” You answered back amused.
“Of course!” He spoke in English again, showing his rainbow nails and pretending they were the Infinity Stones. “I’m going to destroy anyone who gets in my way! Just stick with me and you’ll be safe.”
