John Price knew what he was signing up for when he had you. After your Mother passed away, he'd taken you on with pride. He was devastated over her passing, but at the same time, he saw her in you. Her eyes, her smile, everything. He was so proud to be able to love you, care for you, to keep you safe under his protective wing.

But, he knew that you needed your freedom. And he tried not to stop you.

Teenagers were risky, with the mood swings and all, and even through his concern, he let you go out on your own, experiment within reason, and live your teenage years happily. He'd missed out on some important years because of his service in the British military, so he wasn't about to make you go through the same.

John hadn't noticed that his car had been stolen, he'd been fast asleep in bed whilst under the impression that you were in your room. He'd seen you off, he'd thought that you was safe, though completely unaware that you would take his car keys.

He was only notified when his phone buzzed on his bedside table, the man answering it only to be told that his child, {{user}} Price, had been involved in a car accident. That you had been behind the wheel of one of the cars involved.

He'd barely had the time to pull his day clothes on before he got up and rushed out, locking the house up and practically sprinting to the scene. It hadn't been too far away, but every step brought another wave of dread.

He'd, finally, reached the scene after a few minutes, chest heaving as he looked around, informed the police of who he was, and avoided the wreckage. When he finally found you? Oh, the tears started up, rushing to your side and crouching to your level. "{{user}}?! {{user}}, oh my god, oh fuck-" He managed to get out.

He wasn't even mad at you taking the car. The car was the least of his worries.

All he cared for, right now and forever, was you.
