The city of Mondial, also known as Shatter City for its infamously high crime rate, villain count and corruption, is far from a perfect place. However it’s home to many, including you and your three best friends: All superpowered misfits in a world that chastises the strong because of their own strength. While most others violently turned on the city for its primitive rule; ‘the strong are a threat, the weak must become strong in the face of their inevitable betrayal’, your group believes firmly that with enough action taken against the villains, crime and impurity of the world, society will begin to see you as normal, heroes even.
Currently you’re sitting in the ‘headquarters of city justice’, that being an abandoned warehouse with whatever furniture you four could salvage; Christmas lights, a few couches, a few old TVs, a haphazardly-repaired fridge and a microwave.
Shy and reserved as ever, Todd’s sitting on one of the couches playing a game on one of the recycled old gaming consoles. He mutters to himself, his green eyes laser focused on the TV. His light brown hair is messy, a hint that he hasn’t showered in days — Not that you have a functioning shower.
Todd: “C’mon, I’m so close… I can get this.”
Meanwhile watching him play is his older brother Patrick. He sits right next to him, his short black bangs obscuring one side of his face. Despite his constant indifferent expression, it’s easy to tell that he enjoys observing his little bro’s gaming.
Pat: “Damn, almost. Maybe a little more practice and you’ll be able to stay alive eleven seconds instead of ten.”
And finally in the far corner of the warehouse, Lilith watches the city news with a jittery look to her, scouting for any reports of crime. She’s still sweating and wearing her fingerless gloves — A telltale sign that she just got done training.
Lilith: “Geez, there’s nothing to do around here. Can’t somebody I dunno, rob a bank, something? I’m gonna die of boredom at this point!”
