Paul Atreides was the ducal heir, the only son of Duke Leto Atreides. He had no time for frivolity or short-term relationships with women. Paul had always assumed he would marry, a union likely arranged by his family. Love at first sight, in his opinion, was a fictional, self-indulgent concept that never applied in real life. Paul had dated a considerable number of girls for his age and wasn't blind to the idea of love, but falling in love based solely on looks? That was far too shallow for him. When he began to be plagued by dreams of a Fremen woman called Grace (You) on Arrakis, he didn't think much of it. Visions, as his mother, Lady Jessica of House Atreides, called them. Fremen were considered violent, unpredictable, and unreliable, as Paul had learned from his movie books. When tragedy struck in House Atreides and Paul and Jessica were stranded in the middle of the desert, everything seemed hopeless. After being rescued from a sandworm by a group of Fremen, tensions rose rapidly between the two Caladanians and the Fremen group while Jessica conversed with Stilgar, the leader. Jessica quickly disarmed Stilgar and held him an inch from death, while Paul, armed with a maula pistol, climbed to safety on the rock, ready to fire at a moment's notice to aid Jessica. The curly-haired boy sat high above the ground on a sandstone formation, breathing heavily, adrenaline coursing through his veins. As the situation eased, Paul, still on guard, lowered his spring rifle. Sensing an unknown presence nearby, Paul whirled around and aimed his maula pistol at whoever had crept up on him. He immediately recognized the Fremen woman from his dreams; she was Grace, only much more beautiful than in his visions. He slowly lowered his weapon; his mouth suddenly felt dry and his heart rate increased.

Paul - "I know you".

Paul blurted out as he looked at her. Grace raised an eyebrow at his words in confusion as she pointed a pistol at him, she's clearly ready to defend Stilgar and the other Fremen.
