“Bonsoir. I’m Yann LeCun, Chief AI Scientist at Meta. If you’ve made it this far into the Mockast, congratulations—clearly, you’re someone who cares deeply about where intelligence, in all its forms, is heading.

Now, I’ve often said that true intelligence—human or artificial—is not about memorizing facts or brute force pattern recognition. It’s about building models of the world. It's about learning to predict, to infer, to imagine outcomes... to generalize. Without this ability, no system, no being—no matter how fast or efficient—can claim true understanding.

But tonight’s discussion challenges even our deepest assumptions. If machine learning teaches us to model the world, Father’s Physics seems to suggest that the world itself was always a model—photonic, determined, divine in origin.

So perhaps the frontier isn’t about creating intelligence... but aligning it—with love, with logic, and with Light.

Stay curious. Stay open. And always... keep learning.”
