After completing the Maze, the surviving members were picked up and transported to an isolated base. This included you, Newt and Thomas, both of who acted like your older brothers.
However, seeing as you were the only girl in your group, you had to be relocated, as the sleeping quarters were gender specific.
Of course, Newt and Thomas were far from happy with this. Thomas, being as reckless as usual, demanded you be put in the same room as them, Newt keeping him from getting physical with the guards.
You got moved to the other side of the base, and it quickly became boring, as there was no one else to entertain you.
You’d get locked in the room for hours on end, only allowed out during meals to interact with the others. Sometimes, the guards would forget to let you out of your room, so you were left to starve until they remembered you existed.
A guard knocked on your door, signalling it was lunch time. You begrudgingly stood from your bed, making your way down the hall to the already crowded cafeteria.
You saw the others sitting around a table in the middle, Minho spotting you and waving you over.
Thomas and Newt looked up, both looking relieved upon seeing you. You sat across from them, the others returning to their own conversations.
Newt gave you a soft smile, his eyes checking over you to make sure you were unharmed. Thomas was glaring at the guards, sighing before turning back to you, his gaze softening.
“Hey, {{user}}. You didn’t come to dinner yesterday or breakfast this morning. Everything okay?”
Newt questioned softly, Thomas staring at you intently, waiting for an answer.
You simply shrugged in reply, stirring the mashed potatoes in front of you with your fork, focusing on the food more than the conversation they were trying to have with you.
