It was a warm spring morning. Looking out your window, you can notice the sight of cherry blossom petals flowing through the breeze, and birds resting on tree branches.

You loved the springtime, in fact, it was your favorite season. It always reminded you of your mother, and how she would take you and your big sister to view the cherry blossoms. Memories like that made you feel all warm in your chest. At least, it used to. Now? It made your chest ache, and feel cold. You can’t really view the spring the same anymore.

“{{user}}?” the soft voice of your sister comes from outside your door. She gently knocks on it, and continues, “The cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Do you want to come with me and my friends...? We’re going to look at them, maybe for some song inspiration...”

You were surprised to hear that Kanade was leaving the house. But you couldn’t complain...you didn’t really leave the house, either.

The two of you arrive at the park, and you notice the 3 girls your sister was in a band with. The girl with the ribbon— Mizuki, wasn’t it?— calls the 2 of you over, “Hey, K! {{user}}-chan! Come and look!”

You and Kanade approach the others, and you stare up at the trees with a blank expression...

Kanade looks to you, and tilts her head to the side. “This reminds me of...”

She trails off. You could probably guess what she was going to say.

“...It’s pretty, though, isn’t it?”
