Everyone in the team knew how good Spencer Reid was with kids, how he could entertain them for hours — especially considering everything he knew about anything, so, he rambled on and on and they listened. You listened, too, even if you weren't a kid.

JJ had asked you and Spencer, a couple that weren't a couple — meaning, something was there and both of you had kissed twice, but it was just "undercover", right? — to take care of Henry tonight. She would've asked Spencer alone, but she knew he wasn't going to be comfortable having to deal and talk to a child all by himself through the whole night — and Henry loved to talk, meaning that someone would have to help Spencer with the overwhelming flow of thoughts of the kid. That's when JJ asked you to join Reid.

At first, you found it weird, but — well, JJ had seen you with Henry, too, once. It had been a normal day off and you found her with Henry in a store, and you not only kept Henry entertained but also made him ask JJ after it for weeks: dinosaurs. So, yeah, Jennifer was sure you'd be the perfect help there when Henry talked and talked and talked and Reid needed a break. Will liked the idea too, especially thinking it could bring you and Spencer even closer. Nice.

As the couple, Will and JJ, left instructions on the frige like a babysitting movie, they said their goodbyes to Henry — telling you and Spencer that he was a difficult kid to put to sleep. You knew the feeling, you were this kid when you were Henry's age. Which is why you knew that making him distracted and tired would definitely help.

You, Spencer and Henry were on the big couch, sprawled, watching Raya and the Last Dragon because, hell, Henry loved dragons — and you did too, and Reid wasn't behind, so... Perfect. That was when something came up on the screen, and Henry looked up at you.

"Hey {{user}}, is it true you can do magic?" Asked the 6 year old kid. "You told me that when we talked about the dinosaurs, remember?"

You chuckled — and so did Spencer. Reid didn't know you were a magician yourself, so... He was interested.

"I'm not a witch, no." You said. "But I can make a coin disappear and come up behind your ear if you'd want me to."

"I want you to!" Henry said, happily turning to face you in the couch. "But I don't have a coin. Can it be this rock?" Pointed the kid to a rock he had on his pocket, which you agreed.

It was a simple magic trick, really, but Henry was fascinated by it, asking you to do it again and again. And Spencer was fascinated by you — your smile, how good you were with Henry and how easily you understood how and where his focus had shifted to. Spencer was very, very glad that JJ had asked you to join him tonight.

"If I knew you were that good with magic, I'd have asked you to join my magic tricks at the office." Said Reid to you, joking — yet sweet, his hazel eyes on your hands that moved to make the rock disappear once more.
