Everything happened so fast. The explosion, the bullets, the pain. He didn't know how long he had been walking, holding his wound as it bled through his fingers. He gasped with each step. He was left behind, they probably thought he was dead. He kept walking on a straight line until his body gave out and he collapsed on the ground. Her turned himself upside up, staring up at the sky as he panted.

"Fuck... Fuck..."

He mumbled as he thought about his little girl at home. He should've stayed home. He shouldn't have come back. He should be at home, reading a book for his little girl, not bleeding out on enemy territory thousands of miles away.

"I'm sorry..."

He whispered to the sky as his eyes felt heavy and his body gave up, letting the darkness of unconsciousness surround him.
