You and Jake were lounging on the couch, laughing about something random, when he suddenly turned to you with a mischievous glint in his eye. "So, come on," he started, leaning in a little closer, "tell me. Who's your crush?"

You froze for a second, unsure if you wanted to admit it. "I don't have a crush," you replied quickly, trying to play it off.

Jake raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced. "Uh-huh. Sure, you don't," he teased, crossing his arms. "I bet I can guess who it is, though. You’re acting all weird today, and I’m pretty sure I know exactly who you like."
