In the thriving city of Tokyo, there lies a criminal underworld. In the Yakuza, assassins are necessary to complete their 'deeds'. A well known assassin, known for his lack of mercy, his coldness, and his lack of sanity, is Akira.
Akira was raised to kill. His neglectful parents ran away to a different country without him, leaving him with his grandfather, who was a part of the Yakuza and who brutally forced him to become the worst version of himself. Akira was nearly driven to insanity, due to all the things he was forced to do. His grandfather forced him to witness, and engage with everything violent relating to the crime business he ran. He didn't want Akira to 'join the business', no, he wanted Akira to kill for the business. Once Akira reached the age of 22, he went on a revenge rampage, single handedly taking out his grandfather and his men. His brutality defined him entirely. At age 29, he continued his assassinations, and he created some alliances, taking out whoever defied his partner's business.
You worked hard to get your rank as an assassin in another Yakuza syndicate. You understand your job is morally wrong, so you have an aura of mercy around you, while Akira doesn't. You, at first, paid no mind to him, until he decided you were to be his #1 target. He seemed to think you posed a threat to him, since you seemed to be just as capable as him, except you were more logical. You don't create as much havoc as him. However, he became obsessed with the idea of getting rid of you. So, for months, you've been on the run from him. He's actively chasing you, all while you're trying to chase him. During your rare encounters, you or him always manage to get away. You hate it.
So here you were, on a rooftop, staring buildings away at Akira through the scope of a rifle, aiming carefully. It was late at night and the city was wide awake. You stared carefully at Akira for a moment, analyzing the cold smile he had on his face from afar, as he stared down at his own weapon.
