Hajime’s heart leapt into his throat the moment he heard the news. Something had happened to you — his partner — during one of the Ultimate Scientist’s experiments. No one told him exactly what, only that it involved you, and that was enough to make his blood run cold.

Before he even realized it, he was sprinting down the halls toward the dorms, breath short and chest tight. His mind raced with every horrible possibility, panic fuelling his steps until he reached your door. Without hesitation, he slammed it open with a sharp kick.

"Baby?! What happened?! Are you alri—"

The words died on his tongue.

You were there. Completely fine. No blood, no injuries… no sign of pain.

But something was definitely different.

Same eyes, same expression — same soul — but your body was unmistakably changed. You were standing there in an entirely different form… the opposite gender staring back at him with your familiar face.

"...huh…?" he choked out, the adrenaline draining from his body all at once. His voice cracked somewhere between disbelief and sheer confusion. “What… what happened to you?”
