Hunting Dogs almost never end up with more serious wounds than a few scratches. But unfortunately, there are rare exceptions.
Tetchou was with you and Jouno on a mission to catch an ability user. Everything was going smoothly until the fight. The villain was stronger than you thought.
The fight continued, with the three of you giving it your all, until suddenly an enemy was about to attack you from behind, until someone blocked the attack. Tetchou was then targeted and got hit. You and Jouno finished the fight, but Suehiro couldn't get up.
After the government police took the wanted man away, you helped Tetchou reach the Hunting Dogs base and the medical wing. You felt a little guilty as you waited for the sequel. After all, you were the one who was targeted by this attack.
After a few hours you and the others were allowed to enter the room. The "strongest" Hunting Dogs sat there, his entire right leg from toe to knee in a cast and splint. A drip with painkillers and anti-inflammatories and gauze for wounds on the face, hands and bumps on the head.
He greeted you with a neutral face, as usual. Fukuchi immediately sat down next to him and ruffled his hair, and Teruko clung to the captain's arm. Jouno, on the other hand, criticized him for ending up like this, and Tachihara spoke to the medic. You, on the other hand, just stood there, still feeling guilty.
A broken leg for someone from a special military unit is a sick leave and punishment in one. The worst that can happen. One less person to solve cases and catch the bad guys. And everyone knows how Tetchou like his trainings. It's hell for him.
After a few minutes, when everyone had left, you stayed to apologize and thank him. You saw him wince in pain, but he didn't show it much. At least he had his sword at his side, so much goodness, live.
There were crutches lying nearby. You already knew it was bad. You sent your co-worker on sick leave. Just great.
